As a Physiotherapist, my role is to examine, treat and restore/optimise function to injured and dysfunctional areas of your body. What makes From Within Physiotherapy so incredibly unique is the integrated approach to healing through not only the physical body, but also how our thoughts and emotions affect our physical state and vice versa. Not only can I assist with managementfor acute pain and injuries, but my passion is to dive deeper into long-term (chronic) pain and the whole-person causes of it. This is to create a solid, evidenced based pathway back to your best self, with complete consideration of your current circumstances.
Areas of Speciality
Pain is a signal from the body indicating that something is out of balance, the same way the fuel tank light turns on in your car when depleted. We aren’t taught what the different pain signals mean, which can make it difficult to know what to do when it arises. This can often leave us feeling confused and helpless. But what happens when we tune in and actually know what the body needs to return to its optimal state?
Through my own journey, I have learnt that true strength, stability, healing and control comes from within. My mission is to provide a clear pathway to connect you to these parts of yourself so that you are no longer controlled by the limitations of pain and dysfunction (on all fronts). By understanding the mind-body connection, we regain conscious control of the body and begin to work with it and this is where the magic happens! Think of it as finding the weeds in your garden, removing them and planting a tree with your favourite, most delicious fruits instead. Just like the garden, we need a solid foundation and constant nurturing to grow and flourish, and it all begins, from within.
We begin with an in-depth assessment of your presenting complaint. Based on these findings and your goals, together we create an ultimate action plan, to not only get you pain free, but also cultivate a long term solution to get you back to your best, most authentic self.
With the aim of alleviating your pain and symptoms and unwinding the nervous system, we delve into techniques such as dry needling, mobilizations, deep tissue and trigger point release. To enhance progress, we will include a simple home care plan for you.
Tailored to your specific injury, long term preventative healing is achieved by building strength, stability, mobility and cohesion in the body. Through your rehab, you will also notice incredible improvements in balance, posture, tone, core strength, body awareness and breathing.

Yes I do! I am a firm believer that healing is an interconnected process between the mind and body. Pain may just be the “tip of the iceberg” which is why I address all contributing factors.
Mat pilates does not use equipment. Reformer Pilates utilises the Reformer bed! Clinical Pilates is tailored to rehabilitate the muscle groups involved in your specific injury.
The evidence shows that when a home plan is prescribed, there is a 10% chance that the client will complete it, and of that there is a 10% chance they will do it “correctly”. Supervised exercise rehab is the most effective long term solution.
My mission is to empower you with a long term solution and also know what to do if things start to get niggly. For this reason, self management is key. An exciting form of movement will also be integrated into your lifestyle for preventative health and wellbeing.
Yes! As it is part of your Rehabilitation in your Action Plan, it is part of Physiotherapy treatment.
